Urban Green Hotel & Suites located in the heart of San Jose Costa Rica is a perfect centralized location. The front lobby was only a front desk, and each floor had a middle lobby area for sitting.
The location of the hotel could not have been better, right in the middle of San Jose. It was around the corner from Avenida Central, which was the main pedestrian walkway. There were also grocery stores, shopping, and restaurants nearby. It was only a short 10-minute walk to the museum and a 15-minute walk to La California, which was the main area for bars and nightclubs.

I cannot say enough good things about the hotel staff. When I was initially given a handicap room, I asked to be moved, and Javier went above and beyond to not only move me but also upgrade me to a room with a living room and kitchen. I was extremely grateful. We also asked Juan for some tour advice, and he too went above and beyond, giving us suggestions and even calling to arrange a private tour for the next two days. Dennis and his staff made an amazing breakfast buffet every morning, and he even made special dishes for me. The rooms were very clean, and the beds were comfortable.

Our first room had no windows, and I was not informed by Booking.com, and it never occurred to me to ask. It was very strange. However, our upgraded room had large windows in the living room facing the street. The bedroom did not have windows, so we did not hear any noise from the street. The beds were incredibly comfortable with clean, good quality linen. The bathroom was also very spacious, with two sinks and plenty of room for toiletries.

Digital Nomad Concern: For digital nomads, there is a router in the middle of the lobby of the floor, which meant that the Wifi was only good when I was next to the door of the room. The hotel also had a gym and sauna. However, there is a casino next door, so if you get a room that shares a wall with it, you will hear music all night long.

Apparently, there are supposed ghost sightings at this hotel. I wasn’t really looking as I drunkenly challenged the biggest guy there to a pool game.
