Sonder Casa Tonalá Entrance

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The front door is a discrete big metal door. It doesn’t even look like a hotel from the outside. It has Spanish colonial decor. The location was excellent (I love Roma Norte) with great restaurants and bars within walking distance on a tree-lines street.

Roma Norte

I booked a king room (it was at the top of the steps on the second floor) and I couldn’t believe how large and beautiful it was. The window faces the courtyard. The bed was super comfortable, the towels were high quality, there was a table, chairs, closet, fridge, coffee machine, complimentary water and more. I felt so at home here.

The staff was very accommodating. There was a WiFi module in my room that blinked a very bright blue light. I let the receptionist know without hesitation he covered it. Great decor, useful water machine, nice rooms. Due to the style of building noise traveled and outside noise was very noticeable. They do charge for cleaning, which I thought was very strange. There is a table and chairs that I used to set up my laptop.  The WiFi was fast and had plenty of bandwidth for streaming and remote working.
