“Casa Abanico Tulum” is a hotel located in Tulum town, featuring a lovely and tranquil tropical garden. The moment I stepped inside, I immediately felt like I had been transported to an oasis of palm trees, deep green grass, gravel paths, and lush vegetation. The property maintains a high level of organization and cleanliness and ensures a comfortable stay by providing excellent security measures.The hotel is cozy with daily cleaning services. Additionally, it is great value for money, considering that Tulum can be expensive everywhere, and the place is quite peaceful.
This location is excellent and within walking distance to downtown Tulum and the ADO station. I personally preferred staying in this neighborhood because of its proximity to excellent restaurants and shops. Moreover, it is located far from the downtown area, offering a serene getaway from the hustle and bustle and tourist hotspots.
Palma Central is also nearby, where there are many street food spots and salsa nights on Tuesdays. The beach is quite a distance away, but you can take a colectivo bus three-quarters of the way there. Taxis are expensive for daily use to the beach, but there is a scooter and bike rental place a block away.
Mateo is an exceptional host who takes great care to make sure his guests have a memorable stay. He quickly upgraded my room when I requested a work table. Along with moving me to an even better room when the AC stopped working during a thunderstorm. Mateo is always ready to help with any questions or requests, and he readily provides recommendations on where to rent bikes, get a COVID test, and do laundry.
The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious. In addition, the room features a very comfortable bed with high-quality bedding and mosquito nets. It also has all the modern amenities you would expect in a high-end hotel, including AC, ceiling fans, outlet chargers on both sides of the bed, fast WiFi, and a table for your laptop.
The bathroom is large, with free toiletries, high-quality soft towels, and slippers. It is a nice touch to have shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner in the colors of the Mexican flag. Everything is clean and spotless, and there is plenty of hot water.
There is a communal kitchen with everything you need for preparing meals. Including a refrigerator, free coffee, and purified water for guests. The shared kitchen is always clean, with plenty of tables, making it a nice place to talk to other guests. Free parking is also available on-site. Overall, I highly recommend staying at Casa Abanico Tulum for a peaceful and comfortable experience.
